"Oscar" in automotive design refers to a 1950s General Motors-developed anthropomorphic dummy template, used as a 3D simulation tool to design car interiors based on a "comfortable" or "average" human. This mannequin-like system was used to optimize interior space, seat comfort, and cabin ergonomics.
